JST-245 EXTENDED TX IS as follows

     1 turn off radio
     2 hold the 50 mhz button on the key pad and turn on radio.
     3 continue to hold the 50mhz button and wait for 2 set of
     beeps (dit dit dit )
     4 after hearing a total of 6 beeps .
        ( dit dit dit  "keep holding the button" dit dit dit )
     release 50 mhz button
     5 turn off radio and wait 10 sec. and turn on radio . this
     will allow you to use the radio when traveling out of the US
     to countries where the operating Freq. are outside the US ham
     bands. ( Remember that doing this and using the out of band
     operation is illegal in the US and in other countries. doing
     this is at the users risk of fines and losing there equipment.
